Insurance rates to go up for some

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The cost of health insurance in Indiana is about to go up once again for some.

While not as bad as the statewide 20% hike we saw this year, the Indiana Department of Insurance says insurers offering coverage through the federal health insurance marketplace are seeking rate increases for 2019.

CareSource Indiana will be looking for a 10% increase on average, although the Journal Gazette reports some in Allen County could see a jump as severe as 33.6%.

Chicago-based Celtic Insurance, which sells insurance in Indiana as Ambetter, plans on expanding coverage statewide but actually dropping prices a half-percent.
