Indy’s Monument Circle Could be Changing

INDIANAPOLIS (WOWO): One of Indianapolis' trademarks could be changing.

City leaders are looking for ideas that could transform Monument Circle and they are asking artists to get involved.

This comes as Spark: Monument Circle” launches Aug. 1 next week and runs through October.

According to the Indianapolis Star, the project is financed by a $200,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Art.

The event's goal is to make the circle pedestrian friendly space packed with food, art and live concerts.

Officials say this event will help shape the vision for the future of the circle.

The City of Indianapolis has been pitching ideas for more than a year. To see ideas and artists renderings of the proposed enhancements by click here.
