Indy Officer Shot, Driver Killed in Traffic Stop

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) _ An Indianapolis police officer is reported in good condition after being shot in the arm during a traffic stop in which an exchange of gunfire killed the car’s driver.
 
  Police say the wounded officer was taken to Methodist Hospital in good condition with a gunshot to his lower arm and wrist.
 
  WTHR-TV reports officers pulled over the vehicle Tuesday night and found that its driver had a suspended license.
 
  Commander Tom Koppel says one of the car’s occupants pulled a gun and an exchange of gunfire followed that left the driver fatally shot and two of the car’s occupants wounded.
 
  Police have not released the names of the injured officer or the others. Two others in the car were detained for questioning for the ongoing police investigation.
