INDOT Warns Drivers to be Prepared for Snow

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — The Indiana Department of Transportation is warning drivers to be prepared for possible treacherous driving conditions.

Transportation officials said a fast-moving weather system known as an Alberta clipper was expected to move across Indiana on Saturday and could dump several inches of snow in a short period of time. They say motorists should expect snow to accumulate on roadways, and warn that cold temperatures and blowing winds could quickly decrease visibility and make driving conditions difficult.

They suggest that while driving in inclement weather, slow down and adjust behaviors to conditions.
