INDOT Preparing For Blowing Snow Tonight

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): INDOT is preparing for Monday night's winter weather.

A Winter Storm Watch has been issued for LaGrange and Steuben counties, along with Elkhart and St. Joseph counties. Up to 4 inches of snow are being predicted for those areas as the heaviest snow is forecast north of U.S. 6.

INDOT will deploy 285 yellow plow trucks across Indiana in alternating 12 hour shifts. Wind gusts along with the fluffy nature of the new snow is also causing INDOT to warn you about the possibility of drifting and blowing snow.

While they will be doing their best to keep the roads clear, you're asked to take extra caution if you have to go out and about Monday night.
