INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WOWO): INDOT is asking for your help in raising $10,000 for financial assistance to the families of construction workers who are killed or disabled in the line of duty.

The American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials, AAA and and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce named the South Split project, already underway in Indianapolis, as one of the nation’s top 10 transportation projects in a national awards competition. The 10 finalists are eligible for a $10,000 donation to a charity or scholarship fund of the winning state’s choice. If INDOT wins, the money would go to the families of the fallen of injured.
