INDOT Is Ready for Tonight’s Predicted Snow

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): More snow is on the way for northern Indiana tonight.  The snow is expected to start in the northwestern part of the state around 6:00 p.m., and move towards the southeast portion of Indiana.

Total accumulation is expected to be between two and four inches of new snowfall in Indiana’s northern counties, with up to one inch falling in the central portion of the state overnight.

INDOT crews have already been treating roadways through northern and central Indiana, as snow has been flying for the past several days. Crews will begin patrolling ahead of the storm, and will plow and treat interstates, U.S. highways and state routes as needed once the snow begins, working in alternating 12-hour shifts as long as necessary to ensure roadway conditions remain as safe as possible during winter weather.
