INDOT Announces Road Resurfacing in Allen and Adams County

ADAMS COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): There are a few roads that will be resurfaced in Adams and Allen Counties, starting on Monday, July 6th. 

 

The Indiana Department of Transportation announces that S.R. 218 in Adams County is scheduled to be resurfaced Monday, July 6th, weather permitting. The resurface work will take place from .75 miles west of U.S. 27 to 1.07 miles east of U.S. 27.

During the day, S.R. 218 will be restricted to 11-foot lanes in each direction. When paving takes place throughout downtown Berne, one lane and the parking area will be restricted. The project is expected to be completed in late September, weather permitting.



In Allen County, INDOT announces that S.R. 101 is scheduled to be resurfaced Monday, July 6th, weather permitting. The resurface work will take place in the City of Woodburn from Dawkins Road to Maumee Center Road.

During the day, drivers should watch for stopped traffic and flaggers in the construction zone. Part of this project includes the update of curb ramps in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. One intersection will be constructed at a time. The project is expected to be completed in late October.


 

INDOT announces that U.S. 27 in Adams County is scheduled for concrete repair work on Monday, July 6th, weather permitting. The work will take place from U.S. 33 to 2.54 miles north of U.S. 224.

U.S. 27 will have one lane restricted at a time. Contractors will first restrict the southbound right lane, Later, the northbound right lane will be restricted. Similar work will take place in the southbound and northbound left lanes throughout the summer. These restrictions are scheduled to remain in effect until early October.


 
INDOT reminds drivers to use caution and consider worker safety when driving through an active construction zone.
