Indianapolis Police Release Names of 3 of 4 Slaying Victims

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) _ Indianapolis police have released the names of three women who were found fatally shot in a house along with a man.

Police announced Wednesday that 32-year-old Tiara Turner, 41-year-old Terri Betties and 48-year-old Sherry Taylor were killed in the shootings.

But authorities have not yet identified a man who was found fatally shot with the three Indianapolis women in the house in a high-crime neighborhood.

A woman returning home Tuesday morning found the bodies. Police believe the killings likely occurred earlier Tuesday.

Officer Chris Wilburn says all of the victims were shot multiple times and the house where the bodies were found showed signs of forced entry and had apparently been ransacked.

Neighbors say the area has been plagued in recent years by burglaries, periodic shootings and drug-related crime.
