Indianapolis Day Care Shooting Suspect Arrested

INDIANAPOLIS (AP): Authorities say a man charged with badly wounding his ex-wife in the parking lot of an Indianapolis day care center has been arrested in Kentucky.

Indianapolis police say 33-year-old Christopher Justice was taken into custody without incident Wednesday night in Lexington, Ky.

Justice faced an arrest warrant on an attempted murder charge from Tuesday's shooting of 31-year-old Shirley Justice just after she had dropped off her two children at Eagle View KinderCare on the city's northwest side.

Shirley Justice's family says she remains hospitalized in critical condition with 13 gunshot wounds.

Court records show the couple has been involved in a custody dispute over their 6-year-old daughter.

Indianapolis police say detectives are working to have Christopher Justice returned to the city. It wasn't immediately clear whether he had an attorney.
