Indianapolis Boy Fatally Shot, Identified

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) – The Marion County Coroner's Office has identified the 5-year-old boy fatally shot in the head by a half-sibling.
 
The Marion County Coroner identified the boy Monday as Damoni Troutman.
 
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department says the shooting occurred early Sunday at an apartment complex on the north side of the city. It says the boy died at Riley Hospital for Children.
 
Police say a relative was babysitting three children younger than 10 at the time of the shooting.
 
Police are investigating who owns the gun and how the child found it.
 
The Marion County Prosecutor's Office also is reviewing the case.
