Indiana Truck Driver Sneezes, Rig goes off Road and Rolls

BURNS HARBOR, Ind. (AP) – Indiana State Police say a truck driver started to sneeze, causing him to run his semi off the road and roll on its side.

The accident happened Monday morning on Interstate 94 in northern Indiana near Burns Harbor. Master Trooper Jeff Council says 48-year-old Edward W. McCallum of Hobart was entering a ramp when he started to sneeze. The trooper says that when the truck went off the ramp, into a grassy knoll and rolled onto its side.

McCallum wasn't injured and the truck was uprighted and towed away. Officials say there were no fuel spills or road closures. 

The 1999 Peterbuilt Tractor was pulling a flatbed trailer with a steel coil weighing 45,000 pounds.
