INDIANAPOLIS (AP) _ An Indiana State Police sergeant is denying forgery charges that allege he faked purchase prices on vehicle titles so he could pay lower sales taxes.
Sgt. Rick Reed entered a not guilty plea six felony counts during an initial appearance in Marion Superior Court in Indianapolis on Tuesday.
WISH-TV reports the 53-year-old Westfield man was released on bond.
