AUSTIN, Ind. (WOWO): A teacher in Scott County is making headlines nationally—but not the good kind.

That’s because she was arrested, at school, with meth in her possession. 47 year old Laura Nowling, a teacher at Austin Elementary School for more than 10 years, was just one of three people busted in the case.

It started when deputies search a home near Austin and found a lot of drugs–Opana, Oxycontin, Hydrocodone, Marijuana, and other paraphernalia–and when they learned she was at work they contacted the school. The school says they cannot comment on the matter, but note they are fully cooperating with police and continue to make student safety their top priority.

Her full charges include possession of meth, marijuana, paraphernalia, and maintaining a common nuisance. The other two arrested were inside the home where the investigation began.
