INDIANAPOLIS (AP) _ An Indiana agency says it's taking public comments on its plan for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program.
The Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority says it will hold a public hearing on the plan at 1 p.m. Tuesday at its offices in Indianapolis at 30 S. Meridian St., Suite 1000.
The program provides financial help on home energy bills for needy Hoosiers.
The agency says the public can review the LIHEAP plan at its offices during business hours through Monday. It says the plan also is available under the Public Notices sections on IHCDA's Consumer and Partner websites.
Written comments can be submitted through Monday. Comments may be submitted electronically to iwx@ihcda.in.gov.
Federal regulations require states to submit state plans when applying for LIHEAP block grants.
