Indiana State Students Move Into Downtown Housing Complex

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (AP) _ The first Indiana State University students have moved into a new downtown Terre Haute apartment housing complex run by the school.

The student housing component of the complex, called 500 Wabash, has 75 apartments with 260 bedrooms. The top four floors of the five-story building, also known as Ellis Place, will house Indiana State University students.

A separate company is responsible for leasing the ground-floor as office or retail space.

The (Terre Haute) Tribune-Star reports that businesses in the area believe the students' presence will help build downtown.

The manager of nearby Roly Poly Sandwiches says she thinks the complex will help every local business.
