Indiana Sports Corp. To Honor Condoleezza Rice’s Youth Work

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) _ The Indiana Sports Corp. has selected former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice to receive its 2015 Pathfinder Award.

Rice will be recognized Sept. 10 for her work with America's youth, specifically the Center for a New Generation, which she and her father founded more than 20 years ago. The center is an after-school academic program for students started in two California cities.

The Indiana Sports Corp. annually recognizes individuals who have demonstrated a commitment to improving the lives of America's youth. Past winners include former Notre Dame football coach Ara Parseghian, former Indianapolis Colts coach Tony Dungy, Sen. Richard and Char Lugar and Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning.
