NEW ALBANY, Ind. (AP) _ Police say three bodies found in a shallow creek in southern Indiana have been identified as a woman and her two children who had recently relocated from Washington state.
New Albany police issued a statement Thursday identifying the victims as 35-year-old Jamie Clutter, 10-year-old Brandon Clutter and 6-month-old Katelyn Clutter.
Maj. Keith Whitlow says the family moved to an apartment in New Albany in December.
Floyd County Coroner Leslie Knable performed autopsies Thursday at the Kentucky Medical Examiner’s Office in Louisville, across the Ohio River from New Albany. Police say further testing is needed to determine the exact cause of death. Knable says details will be released Friday.
Whitlow has said investigators are treating the deaths as homicides despite the lack of any obvious signs of foul play.
