Indiana Pain Doctor’s License Suspension to Continue

U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration agents earlier this month arrested 52-year-old William Hedrick of Fort Wayne. State attorney general spokeswoman Molly Johnson told The Star Press (http://tspne.ws/1CmqDmE ) that Hedrick's medical license suspension will continue “indefinitely, until criminal charges are resolved.'

Prosecutors have charged Hedrick with Medicaid fraud, reckless prescribing, forgery and three counts of registration offense.

Johnson says Hedrick has agreed to the continued suspension.

Hedrick was forced to close a dozen Indiana Pain Center locations after the Medical Licensing Board in October suspended his medical license for allegedly over-prescribing pain medications.
