Indiana Man Who Was Focus of FBI Artifact Raid Dies at 91

WALDRON, Ind. (AP) – An Indiana man whose collection of shrunken heads, Ming Dynasty jade and other international artifacts became the focus of a 2014 FBI raid has died.

Don Miller died Sunday at his home in rural Rush County. He was 91.

Miller's home was the focus of a massive FBI operation last year in which agents seized some of the artifacts he'd obtained from around the world. Investigators said they might have been removed from their countries illegally.

Miller was never charged, and the status of the seized artifacts is unclear.

Legal experts tell The Indianapolis Star it could take years for experts to sort out the legalities of the thousands of objects seized by the government.
