CARMEL, Ind. (AP) – Indiana Lt. Gov.-elect Sue Ellspermann has named a former banker and campaign aide to be her chief of staff when she takes office Jan. 14.
Ellspermann named Tonya Brothers-Bridge to the post Thursday.
Brothers-Bridge is a former senior executive at German-American Bancorp and Peoples National Bank and started her own management consulting company, Evansville-based Transformation Team Inc., in 2008. She chaired Ellspermann’s successful run for the Indiana House of Representatives in 2010 and directed her campaign for lieutenant governor.
Indiana’s lieutenant governor traditionally has led the state’s efforts in agriculture, community and rural affairs, tourism, energy, housing and community development.
