INDIANAPOLIS (AP) _ Indiana Gov. Mike Pence has been increasing talk that he may run for the White House with a handful of high-profile trips and the rollout of a new health care proposal he has dubbed an alternative to Medicaid.
Pence opened the week by speaking to conservative activists and potential high-dollar donors in New York City. The event was put on by Mallory Factor, a prominent banker and pundit who connects Republicans with donors.
Pence is scheduled to outline his proposed expansion of Medicaid next week in a speech at the Washington-based American Enterprise Institute.
The Republican has consistently said he finds questions of whether he will seek the presidency “humbling'' but has not said whether he will run.
