INDIANAPOLIS (WOWO): The Indiana Department of Education has released results from a test about reading. It's IREAD3, and it's used to ensure that students can read well enough to move from 3rd to 4th grade. The department released the data today, which shows that this year's passage rate of the test was 91.1%, which is up from 90.6% from last year. The data include students that passed in spring and summer re-tests. This past summer, the department kicked off its Hoosier Family of Readers initiative and had over 127,000 participants.
