Indiana Conservation Officers Investigating Boating-Related Death on Ohio River

FLOYD COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating a boating-related death on the Ohio River. Officers say a man fell from a boat and was pronounced dead at a hospital in New Albany. Early investigations show that two fishermen were aboard a runabout boat upstream of the K&I Bridge in Floyd County when the boat's motor hit an object underwater, causing one of the men to be thrown overboard. The victim came out of the water quickly and got back in the boat before losing consciousness. The victim was given CPR and then taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. His name hasn't been released. Officers are continuing to investigate the incident.
