INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (NETWORK INDIANA):  Super heroes and science fiction fans will roam Indianapolis this weekend.

The three-day Indiana Comic Con is back at the Indiana Convention Center downtown Friday through Sunday.  People in costume, also known as Cosplayers, will be dressed up for both contests and for fun.

There will also be celebrities on hand. They include Brent Spiner, best known as Data on “Star Trek: The Next Generation”, Ray Park – he portrayed Darth Maul on “Star Wars, Episode I”, and Lea Thompson, best known for roles on “Back To the Future” and “Caroline In The City.”

Artists and voice actors also are popular at Indiana Comic Con, and one of the best at this year’s convention is Maurice LaMarche. While the Canadian has voiced many characters over the years, many remember him best as The Brain from “Pinky and The Brain”, the show born during the “Animaniacs” series of the 1990’s.

The Brain’s voice, LaMarche says, started as an Orson Welles voice. “I infused it with Welles, but I went in and put some highs and lows into it, because it was too difficult to hear the character all in this lower register,” LaMarche says.
