Ind. Official Considered as Lobbyist

INDIANAPOLIS (AP): A powerful lobbying group looking to represent Indiana's microbreweries has proposed hiring an executive director with business smarts and knowledge of alcohol laws. He also currently works for the same government he'd be trying to persuade. Indiana Secretary of State Chief of Staff Davey Neal was granted a waiver yesterday allowing him to become a lobbyist almost immediately, should his prospective employer land its $171,000-a-year contract with the brewers.
