Ind. House Leader Says Tax, Preschool Deals Near

INDIANAPOLIS (AP): Indiana's legislative leaders say they have reached broad agreement with the governor on some of the biggest items being considered this session. Republican Speaker Brian Bosma said Tuesday that a series of business tax cuts, an early childhood education program and spending for roads are all set to win approval before lawmakers finish work this week. Republican Senate President Pro Tem David Long cautions that leaders are close, but the deals aren't set in stone yet.
