Illinois-based Manufacturer Relocating to Indiana Facility

GARY, Ind. (AP) – A steel tube manufacturer has announced plans to move operations from Illinois to Indiana by the end of the year.

The (Munster) Times reports T&B Tube Co. is leaving its 89,000-square-foot facility in South Holland, Illinois, to expand at a 196,000-square-foot building in Gary, Indiana.

The company also will receive discounts from NIPSCO's economic development program, and up to $950,000 in tax credits from the Indiana Economic Development Corp. if it meets goals to hire Indiana residents.

T&B Tube Co. has said it hopes to create as many as 100 new jobs over the next two years.

The company expects to spend $5.6 million on its relocation.
