Identity released for man pronounced dead in alley Sunday

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – The identity of the man pronounced dead in a Fort Wayne alley Sunday has been released.

Donta L. Grundy, 27 of Fort Wayne, was found suffering from a gunshot wound in an alley near the corner of Reed and Oxford streets around 2 p.m.

Once paramedics arrived to the scene, they began administering medical attention, but Grundy was pronounced dead a short time later.

Grundy’s manner of death has been ruled a homicide, making him the 21st homicide victim in Allen County for 2018.

The incident remains under investigation, and no suspect information has been released at this time.
