GREENWOOD, Ind. (AP) – Indiana Department or Transportation will hold public meetings this week in central Indiana this week on the proposed Section 6 of the Interstate 69 extension from Martinsville to Indianapolis.
INDOT says the meetings Monday evening in Greenwood and Wednesday evening in Martinsville will share information and collect public comment on the scope of an environmental impact study being conducted for the section.
The meetings will provide information about the scope of the second phase of a two-part environmental-impact study that began in 1999 to select the route for Section 6. The second phase will study a route that's aligned with State Road 37, which was selected in 2004 during the first phase of the environmental study.
Both meetings start at 6 p.m.
