Huntington Police Stop Investigating Cause of Loud Boom

HUNTINGTON, Ind. (WOWO): The Huntington County Sheriff's Department has stopped investigating what caused a loud noise that was heard by area residents Saturday evening.

Huntington police received called about a “loud boom” that was heard around 11 p.m, according to our Partners in News at 21Alive. After an extensive search, police were unable to find anything that caused the loud noise.

Witnesses said it sounded like some kind of explosion or artillery, similar to a canon.
