Hundreds of Jobs for Greenwood

GREENWOOD, Ind. (WOWO): Good news for Greenwood. Mayor Mark Myers announced that beauty retailer Ulta Inc. plans to build a 670 thousand-foot facility.

he facility will create 537 jobs by 2018 and is located just east of I-65 just outside of downtown Greenwood. The firm makes and offers thousands of beauty products through retail and online locations.

The Greenwood facility will become Ulta‘s fourth distribution center. Myers says the facility will be a great shot of economic impact for Greenwood. He says it‘ll generate $75 million in assessed valuation. He says $30 million of that will come from the building itself and $45 million from personal property taxes. Ulta Inc.

Senior Vice President Derek Hornsby says the location is perfect and construction will begin within a couple of weeks.
