Housing Sales Spike 10 Percent

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The local housing market is on the upswing.

For the second straight year sales of new homes in the area went up. This year they are up more than 10 percent. 

According to a report from the Upstate Alliance of Realtors, the number of homes sold is up about 600, to 7,313.

The average price is also up, slightly.  The typical residence is up more than $300 dollars per home, to $126,780.  

The survey includes Allen, Adams, DeKalb, Huntington, Noble, Wells and Whitley Counties.  Find out more at http://upstarindiana.com/
