INDIANAPOLIS (WOWO): Forbes Magazine has released its list of the 400 Richest People in America, four of which reside right here in the Hoosier state.

Carl Cook, the heir to the Cook Medical Group fortune, is tops among Indiana earners on this year‘s Forbes rankings. His wealth is valued at $5.9 billion, which places him 86th overall.

Also making the list is 79-year-old Herbert Simon, who in addition to being the owner of the Indiana Pacers is the co-founder of Simon Property Group.

Simon has a net worth of $2.3 billion, Dean White, a real estate developer and former owner of Whiteco Industries, ranked in on this year’s list with $1.96 billion, and Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay is also on this year’s list with a worth of $1.74 billion.

Although he’s not from Indiana, it should come as no surprise that Bill Gates topped the list again this year – with a net worth of $81-point-2 billion.
