MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Ind (WOWO): This morning, around 8:30 a.m., Indiana State Police received a call about a crash on Old State Road 55 south of County Road 500 West, in which a teenager died.

18-year-old Mitchell McCord, of Wingate, was driving a pickup truck southbound on Old State Road 55 when he failed to make a curve and went off the road. The pickup then rolled at least twice before coming to a stop. Mitchell’s brother, 18-year-old Michael McCord, a passenger in the truck, was thrown from the vehicle.

Michael died from massive internal injuries while en route to the Hospital. Mitchell was taken to the hospital with a shoulder contusion.

As of right, the investigation is ongoing, but at this time neither the use of alcohol nor narcotics is suspected as having contributed to this crash.
