FISHERS, Ind. (WOWO): A former Republican candidate for Indiana Governor is running again this year, but not as a Republican.

Jim Wallace will seek the nomination as a Libertarian, according to a press release sent Wednesday. Wallace had an unsuccessful campaign for office in 2012.

The businessman from Fishers graduated from West Point and Harvard Business School. He also served on the Fishers Town Council and Hamilton County Council.

In his declaration, he calls the divide in Washington “crazy” and says that “same party politics” has resulted in a “complete disregard for personal freedom.”

He’ll be challenged by incumbent Republican Mike Pence and Democrat John Gregg. One thing that is sure to come up in his campaign is a 2012 arrest for domestic battery after an incident involving his wife.

Wallace will hold a public campaign event at Nick’s Martini & Wine Bar on 1227 E. State Blvd. Friday night at 6 p.m.

Now this is the one person I could vote for over Pence. Go Wallace!

P.S. Thanks for ridding of the dumb “answer the math question thing.” Thanks to that nothing would post.
