Harlan man accused of striking and killing man on lawnmower pleads guilty

ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): A man accused of driving a vehicle under the influence and fatally striking a man on a lawnmower in 2015 has pleaded guilty.

Police say a vehicle driven by 23-year-old Austin Wood of Harlan struck and killed 52-year-old William D. Wagman of Grabill, who was mowing his grass, according to our news partners at 21Alive.

The incident happened on Labor Day 2015 on SR 37 near Ricker Road in East Allen County.

Wood entered a guilty plea Friday morning and is scheduled to be sentenced on April 22.
