PERU, Ind. (AP): Refueling airplanes at the Grissom Air Reserve Base in northern Indiana will be moved to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio at the end of May so $3.2 million in repairs can be made to Grissom's 12,500-foot-long runway.
 
       The 434th Air Refueling Wing commander says the air operations normally conducted at Grissom will be held at Wright-Patterson for 45 days. Col. Bryan Reinhart says non-flying operations will continue as normal at the base near the city of Peru.
 
       Squadron Chief Engineer John Robison says the repairs are critical to the long-term use of the runway by both military and civilian aircraft. He says the work will prevent buckling of the runway from summer heat.
 
       The Grissom squadron is the largest unit of KC-135R airplanes in the Air Force Reserve Command.
