FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Fort Wayne’s economic development organization has found itself with money to burn.

Local attorney Mac Parker donated nearly $306,000 to Greater Fort Wayne, Inc. this week, with one rule: the money has to be spent on something that benefits the downtown area. The Journal Gazette reports that Parker made the donation as the last act of the Greater Fort Wayne Chamber of Commerce Foundation, which was dismantled last year.

Greater Fort Wayne CEO John Urbahns says they’re not in any hurry to spend the money, adding the group will evaluate how to best use the money toward downtown developments.
