Governor Pence Names New State Auditor

INDIANAPOLIS (WOWO): Indiana has a new state auditor. Dwayne Sawyer will serve through the end of 2014. He is currently the president of the Brownsburg Town Council but will move into the Statehouse almost immediately. Sawyer, who is African-American, is said to be a move to make the GOP more diverse.  Former Auditor Tim Berry resigned yesterday to begin working full-time as the new state Republican Party chairman. He had been state auditor since 2007.
