Governor Pence Declares, Believe in Blue Friday

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WOWO): Governor Mike Pence has declared tomorrow Believe in Blue Friday in the state of Indiana to show support for the Indianapolis Colts as they head to New England to compete for the AFC Championship.

He's also challenging Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker to a friendly wager. The two aggreed on twitter that Governor Pence will send shredded pork from Shoup’s Country Foods in Frankfort, Indiana, to Governor Baker’s office in the event the Colts should lose. Should the Patriots lose, Governor Baker will send Boston cream cupcakes from Springfield’s Koffee Kup Bakery as well as a Super Bowl themed cake designed by Brockton’s Montilio’s Baking Company to the Indiana Statehouse.

In addition to the wager between offices, the winning team’s Governor’s office will also receive local food products from the losing team’s state for donation to a food pantry of their choice.

The winner of Sunday's game will advance to the Super Bowl in February.
