Governor Pence and Tom Kelly to be Recognized as Red Coat Recipients

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Governor Mike Pence and Tom Kelly, president of Kelley Automotive Group, will be recognized by the Mad Anthonys as the organization's 2014 Red Coat recipients. Pence and Kelley will receive the Red Jacket at this year's recognition dinner on Tuesday, August 26. The event begins at 7:30 p.m., and is being held at Hotel Fort Wayne.


As a lifelong Hoosier, the Mad Anthonys is an organization I know well and admire, so it is a great honor to be named recipient of the Red Coat,” Pence said.


A recipient of the Red Coat can be a business leader, an athlete, coach, celebrity or politician, however Mad Anthonys board member, John Ferguson says, “it's really someone who has made a positive impact on the state of Indiana.”


Being born and raised in Fort Wayne and an avid golfer, there are few things more momentous I can think of then the Mad Anthonys and the Red Coat,” Kelley said. “In addition, being able to join my father in the ranks of Red Coat recipients is an incredible opportunity and honor.”


This year's Mad Anthonys Pro-Am will take place during the Hotel Fitness Championship being held August 25 and 27 at Fort Wayne’s Sycamore Hills Golf Club. The Mad Anthonys Pro-Am tournament sees amateur golfers team up with pro golfers from the Web.com tour to benefit Mad Anthonys Children's Hope House and the Evans Scholars Foundation.
