“Tonight, Hoosiers across our state will gather in the homes of family and friends to light the menorah and honor the first night of Hanukkah. As our Jewish community commemorates this Festival of Lights and focuses on the principles of dedication, gratitude, memory and faith, l invite all Hoosiers to honor the holiday by striving to embrace these same principles both during the next eight days and throughout the year.”
