Gov. Pence Recommends Marsha Coats for RNC Committeewoman

  INDIANAPOLIS (AP) _ Gov. Mike Pence is recommending Marsha Coats to complete Becky Skillman's term as Indiana's Republican National Committeewoman.
 
  Pence on Wednesday recommended Indiana Republican State Executive Committee select the wife of Sen. Dan Coats for the coveted post.
 
  Members of the Executive Committee are expected to confirm Marcia Coats' selection to the coveted post when it meets Monday.
 
  Marcia Coats has taught in public and private schools and worked as a family counselor in private practice, and in support of the office of the U.S. Senate chaplain. An advocate of volunteer and service organizations, she and her husband formed The Foundation for American Renewal to support faith-based initiatives. She also is a founding member of Project Nehemiah, a Christian nonprofit that assists children whose parents were the victims of terrorists.
