Gov. Pence Makes Appointment to Indiana Court of Appeals

INDIANAPOLIS (WOWO): Governor Mike Pence has appointed Marion County Superior Court Judge Robert Altice Jr. to the Indiana Court of Appeals.

The Governor made the announcement with Altice and family present in the Indiana Statehouse Friday.

The 54-year-old says appointment will be a great way to finish out his career in public service.

Altice says he‘s looking forward to rendering decisions in conjunction with the two other appeals court judges and the writing process involved in the process.

This marks the third time Altice applied for the position. He says the “third time was the charm” and that this attempt might have been his last due to the stress involved and impact on his family.

Altice has had a long career in the Marion County court system that includes countless criminal trials and much media exposure.
