FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): State Schools Superintendent Glenda Ritz was in town Monday.

Ritz visited Brentwood Elementary to meet with teachers, students, and Superintendent Wendy Robinson. The state’s latest A-thru-F accountability grades are slated to be released later today, but she reminded the Journal Gazette schools won’t be punished for any dropping scores from the 2015 ISTEP test due to a big shift in difficulty and questions regarding the test’s accuracy and administration. Teachers will also be held blameless.

Ritz also told the paper she was “very impressed” with the reading and writing she saw from students at Brentwood, which happened to get an “A” in last year’s accountability scores.
