Girl Says She Was Attacked At School

Authorities say a girl at an Indianapolis elementary school says she was attacked by three boys in a school restroom.

The girl told Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department the boys knocked her down, ripped her clothing and touched her inappropriately. Police say the boys were on recess and the girl’s class was watching a movie Thursday afternoon at the time the girl says she was attacked.

She told police she was kicking and screaming until the boys ran off.

Indianapolis Public Schools spokesman John Althardt says the three boys, ages 11 to 12, have not been arrested. He says they have been suspended for six days from Francis Scott Key School in northeast Indianapolis. Althardt says he believes the school’s response was quick and appropriate.
