German Agribusiness Picks IN for First US Operations

OSSIAN Ind. (WOWO): A German Agribusiness Manufacturer has chosen Indiana to launch their first U.S. operations.

HALDRUP, an international field research equipment manufacturer, says their first U.S. operations will open up shop in the town of Ossian, located in Wells County.

A new 24,000 square-foot facility will open at the Ossian Industrial park and add about 65 new jobs to the area by 2017. The German-based company will break ground this month and has already started hiring for sales, clerical, field service, technical service, engineering, manufacgturing, and logistics positions in Indiana. HALDRUP designs custom field research equipment. They are known for products that are designed to keep grain together during the threshing process for small plots, agribusinesses and independent service providers in agricultural research. All of the field reserach equipment that is made in Indiana will be sold in the U.S., Canada and South America within the next five years.
