Gay Rights Advocacy Group Files Complaint on Behalf of Student

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WOWO): A Gay rights Advocacy group has filed a complaint on behalf of a gay high school student.

GetEQUAL filed the petition on behalf of the student who says he was beaten up by a football player because of his sexuality. The group says that Perry Township schools have denied the teen “access to a hostile-free education”.

The boy’s mother says that the football player from Southport High School had been taunting her son for months before the attack. However, Southport officials say that a district investigation found something very different — that the teen started the fight by using a racial slur against the player.
