Gas Prices On Upswing in Fort Wayne, But For How Long?

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Gas prices in Fort Wayne have now matched the national average.

Gasbuddy says tha gas rose 5.3 cents per gallon in the past week in Fort Wayne to $2.75 a gallon. That matches the national average, which rose four-tenths of a percent in the last week.

Still, gas prices locally are $1.18 per gallon lower than where they were last year. Prices are 18.3 cents higher than a month ago.

Patrick DeHaan with Gas Buddy says gas prices should decline later this summer, especially with a quiet hurricane season forecasted.
